all about..

Don't think I'm morbid,
Just a thought I had today,
Decided to write.

All proud to Recycle, Donate, UNTIL......

One day we are fat, and then we are thin, old clothes go in a bin.
We used to be small, now we are tall, old clothes tossed in the bin.
So as not to be a hoarder,
I pack up all the bins.
Bring them to the re-sale shop and carry them right in.
I see a lady tote a box, teary eyed, can hardly talk,
hands it to the lady of the store, "take these please, I need them no more"
I watch as she unpacks the things, some suits and shirts and fairly good jeans.
In a instant I realize,
Many clothes here are SOME MANS DEMISE!!

Some things we just don't notice

Well, Dad's back from deer hunting, and small game. I am happy to announce that he didn't bring any wild meat back home.~Whew~ I think Uncle Kevin picked up some road kill that ended up in the driveway of the place they stay. They probably shot off a few rounds just to get some kind of use out of their rifles.
My time alone was nice and quiet, the day he left I cleaned off all the tables, dusted, and the tables stayed clear of random crap all week long. Caught up on all the laundry, cleaned my bedroom and the garage. Raked the yard, but the trees were'nt quite done makeing a mess. Then on a whim, I stopped at a random beauty shop and got my hair cut. If you drive down Oak St. there's nothing but Beauty Palors and Bars, I didn't feel like a drink, so I got my hair cut. All I asked was don't give me bangs, cuz I really hate hair in my face, well, I got me some bangs *sighs* I told the lady it's lovely, what the hell, I don't go anywhere anyway.
When dad got home I was waiting for him to notice my change.........
Well I had to just mention I had my hair cut, you know what he said? "You dyed it blond too." Um Dad, the girls dyed it last June, the top half now is back to normal, the bottom half is still blond. He swears I had it dyed just the other day.
I won't hold this against him, I never notice when he shaves his beard off, He has to pretty much tell me.
I wonder what it is we are both looking at anyway?

Trick or Treat

Kids started coming for treats at 5:30, the city said only until 7:30 so two hours of none stop children. I remember back when I was a kid we started as soon as it got dark and went till 10:00 pm.It was a safe happy time, no worries, I was some what naughty and always had soap to trick those who didn't give out candy, seemed harmless at the time. Neighbors would give us hot cider and invite us in to warm up if the weather was cold and I remember one old couple who made us sing for our treats. My buddy Marilyn and I would sing *
By the light,
of the silvery moon,
I want to spoon,
To my honey I'll croon love's tune.
Honey moon, keep a-shinin' in June.
Your silv'ry beams will bring love's dreams,
We'll be cuddlin' soon,
By the silvery moon.
We knew for sure one day we would end up on a tv show called Star light Stairway, It was the first version of American Idol. I believe it was a Detroit based show, though I can't find it anywhere on the internet. N e way was a nice night for trick or treating.

CORRECTION:
So it really sucks when your memory don't serve you right. I continued to search for the tv show I mentioned, and it kept coming up that the show came out of Spokane WA. That couldn't be right, I was so sure so retyped and sure nuff, I am not crazy. the show was Starlit Stairway. I found many forums with people talking about it, thank goodness, I hate when I think of the ole days and then maybe it was just a wierd dream. hahaha
