Here it is Labour day weekend and I have no desire to get out and do anything special. Probably been 30 years ago that we wouldn't think twice about packing up the tent and heading out to Pine River for a treacherous canoe trip with ton's of our childhood friends Things slow down quite a bit over the years, I'll bet most of our old buddies are doing the same as us this weekend. I am not complaining about just being home, really I am happy about it. Just a bit sorry that my energy level is pretty much at zero. Anyway, kudos to those of you with energy and have a wonderful weekend and create some great memories like I have done in the past.
On another note, we had a pretty good wind/rain storm yesterday. The lights flashed but we were lucky and didn't lose power, er except the internet. GAWD, that sure proved to me how much time I spend on my computer. I guess Hurricane Earl is what has brought us some rain winds and this wonderful cool weather It's a great break from the sweltering heat we been dealing with all month or more.
It's official, we can now call Paddy boy and Cyndi the most unluckiest people on this planet. The winds brought down a city owned tree branch down on their back yard, slightly hitting the roof at the back of the house and bringing down the power lines into their yard. They got their power back but I don't know what has been done about the tree.
