Shadow day

Well I have been warned before that I am not allowed in the department seeing as I am no longer employed. But how does a person just say goodbye to people who have been in your life 8 hours a day for 6 years? I admit I am not much on visiting or Talking on the phone. The old work place is just so conveniently close! Today was *take yer kid to work day* So I printed up a permission slip for myself, with a few photos on what to do when you retire, jumped on my bike and went to visit.

I was nervous as all get out about showing up in the department again when once before I brought everyone some Sliders for lunch, (although happy to see me) I was asked not to come into the department back then, as a matter of fact I was asked to leave!

UGH? how could they just kick nice old me out that way? I do understand though, I left and really don't belong there anymore :-(
Today was different, it was shadow day, tons of kids are working in the department, is there an age limit?
After lots of hellos and hugs and I worked on the line for a while, The *BOSS MAN* called me into his office, I was nervous about that, but all he said is how are things going and what have I been doing. Then I asked him how he's doing and what's going on with his life, we chatted and after about 30 minutes or so we were done talking.

I went on to the break room to chat with Wendy on her lunch, then the *BIG BOSS* came looking for me and asked if I would see him in his office when I was done. I thought he was going to give me advise on my retirement money that I haven't claimed yet.
WRONG! He said he can't break the rules and I must not come to the department again!
That someone might complain on why can Wanda visit? Well he waited 3 hours before he kicked me out saying *not that we didn't love the fact that you came to visit*, next time warn us and we will meet you in the cafeteria, a neutral visitors area.

Anyway, it was great visit to see old friends that I miss so much!

AND their kids who I had met have all grown up so much it was great to see them too!
I miss my buddies but I don't miss the hard work, everyone seemed so tired *sighs*
